Adam Lambert Rocked It. Plain and Simple
Shack and Gregger are totally overreacting about Adam Lambert's performance with KISS on American Idol last night. They did "I Want To Rock & Roll All Night" and the guys say it's sacrilege that he would dare put his spin on such a song.
I agree that his style is a little different... but talent is talent. I'm thinking it's more the guyliner that is putting them off.
He's totally got a Freddy Mercury-thing going on performance-wise. It's called putting the drama and glam-a back in rock n' roll.
And besides, it's not like KISS is this super-butch-trucker-lumberjack band. Last I checked, they performed in makeup and heels. Lambert fit right in.
Though it is concerning that he's prettier than me....

I agree with you completely Sheri! (on the performance side of it, I still believe you are preittier than Adam).
Look at it this way, regardless of the critics comments and feelings, what up and coming star/performer can say that they stood on the same stage as "The Greatest Band In The Land", while in full make up, smoke and fire and allowed to perform right along side of them infornt of millions of viewers???????
The American Idol producers really set the bar for next years final. Last nights show was "OFF THE WALL", big names, great comedy, lots of surprises. Hell I enjoyed last nights 2hr finally more than the past few American Music Awards.

Just a word for all of Rock102 listeners, Adam Lambert should have one or two CDs out by Christmas, maybe even a cut from last nights performance with KISS. What do you all say we buy Shack & Greggor their own copies?

I agree 100%! I'm a big KISS fan as well.. and I thought it was amazging! I didn't even watch all of American Idol either, but I'm sure glad I didn't miss the finale! Here I was complaining before it came on that it was two hours long, but it could have been three! Come on, KISS, Queen, and you know Cyndi Lauper looked smokin' last night! Yep top that one!

I am an absolute 100% Kiss fan. I thought that performance made a good show, great. adam was great, like Sheri said, fit right in. I think it would have been cool if Adam was in full make-up, but in a show like that, not enough time to put it on and take it off.
That show last night had everything. And after last year, I was actually not even going to watch. Like Kel said, the bar has been set REALLY high.
Maybe Metallica will perform next year. At least will get to see them live on TV, since they won't play here, ever.
