Customer Service, Hunk of the Day & Crazy Nickelback fan eeek Crazzzzy

I walk into work with a Wendy's Salad and our lovely receptionist says,"Let me guess, Baja Salad"  Well yes of course!  Now the thing is that the new salads there are my favourite, but I also find myself going out of the way to go to Wendy's on 8th street as I always have great, friendly service!  I would say that I am a good customer.  All I and most people want when we go somewhere and spend money we want to be greeted with a smile :)!  I've noticed that the service in Saskatoon is great from my experience lately.  I consider myself a happy person always smiling.  That simple action can turn someone's day totally around! 

I start my day with Tim Hortons like most, and going through DT this is the single person that sets the tone of my day, my first interaction with a person and they can choose to either smile or not.  They always do and in return I have had a great start to my morning wether I spill coffee on my shirt or not like I did this morning.  

I have to say it has been a fantastic Friday!  Had a pedicure at Just for you Spa, and WOW!!  As soon as I stepped into the salon greeted with a smile and asked how I am doing today.  It was a great first impression to a place that I have never been before and the pedicure was awesome!  Met a few other women who were there for the same thing and I had a fab time with a few strangers.  It was an absolutely beautiful salon but I will go back for the simple reason that the staff were fantastic and my pedicure looks awesome!

So for every single person who works in the service industry you are the face of the business.  Let me rephrase that, You are the most important face of the business!  I have heard many people refer to themselves as "just the receptionist or I just work at Wendy's/Tim Hortons you get it. I have to say that it really bothers me when I hear someone refer to themselves as that.  You are not just a receptionist, or just anything, you are the first impression!  You have a very important job never forget that!  To everyone out there who cares about their job and makes a great first impression. You Rock!  

This blog is dedicated to everyone and everyone who works in the service industry or deals directly with the public which is most jobs.  I have worked in the service industry for years.  I understand that at times it's a hard job but an important one and there is not much recognition for that industry.  So keep doing the great job that you are doing and have a stellar weekend!
