Rawlco Radio's 10K20 Is Back!!!!
We all know that "making it" in the music world takes alot of money. With the purchase of squeeze cheese, wetnaps for showering in the van, peejugs for.....peeing, and copious amounts of malt liquor, you aren't left with much for the actual making of music part. So..........that's why I suggest selling your sperm. Wait......no. That's not what this is about.
A Good Ole Small Town Saturday Night
Hey y'all. If you're up for a good ole fashion hootennanny (hoe down, hootennanny, hoe down) check out the Adobe Inn in Martensville this weekend. Saturday night Cletis will be playing the 4th Annual Tent Party. Hurricane Cletis are always fun to see. Unless any of the Dyck boys ask you if you want to see "the flying squirrel", "the bran muffin", or "the goat". Just say no.
More reasons to go:
1. The Adobe is great.
2. Small towns get rowdy.
3. Peeing in streets is often allowed in small towns. Or atleast not frowned upon
Hey North Battleford, It's Los Angeles Calling
Every now and then, somebody leaves our province. Usually case of Bohemian in hand. Adrian Barnardo is one of those people. Raised in North Battleford, Adrian was born of a one armed midget with a bad attitude. Okay....so I don't know that much about him. But having spent a couple years in North Battleford myself , I'm assuming he smokes heavily and drinks uncontrollably.
Hangin' On Broadway
No, it's not just for hippies. Although, hippies are more than welcome. It's for everyone. All ages. All races. All classes. But more importantly, all music. In one single evening you can enjoy rock, pop, classical, and rap in a mostly live atmosphere. I think that everyone can agree, in order to experience the Saskatoon music scene, you need to be on Broadway.
Like Em or Not, They're One Bad Son and They Bring It
The critics were silenced for about an hour on Friday night at the Rock 102 Spring Invasion. One Bad Son ripped through old favorites and new alike. With heads bobbing throughout TCU Place to the beat of "Sunfire" and "Alive In Texas". New ones like "Rustbucket" and "Retribution Blues" gave Saskatoon a taste as to what we can expect from a new album in the works.
